Empowering Native American Titans
Join your fellow Titans as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month! November is National Native American Heritage Month or also known as American Indian Heritage Month. Founded in 1990, this is a month to honor and celebrate the natives of America and their rich culture, history, and contribution to our society.Take this opportunity to learn more about the history of Native Americans and the struggles that many of them still face today. This is also a month for the Native American community to be proud of who they are, to be proud of their ancestors and all they have been through and accomplished, and the traditions and knowledge that have been preserved through generations of suppression. This is a month for every Titan, and every American, to learn about the original people of this country and their impact and presence to this day.
Cal State Fullerton sits on the ancestral lands of the Tongva/Kizh and Acjachemen people, formerly known as Hotuuknga. As a community, we will be putting on multiple workshops, webinars, and celebrations to honor our native community in Cal State Fullerton and Orange County.
